Australian Aquatic Biological Pty Limited (AABio) is an Australian company founded in 2007 with a focus on aquatic research, aquaculture consultancy and species conservation.

Australian Aquatic Biological P/L conducts aquatic ecological surveys for private individuals, companies, environmental groups and government. Since inception AABio has been the major sponsor of The Australian Crayfish Project and The Australian Aquatic Biodiversity Survey. Together with the company’s own research AABio works with numerous other individuals and researchers on joint research projects across Australia. Australian Aquatic Biological P/L acts in partnership with private individuals, industry and other public sector organisations to support and promote research on aquatic species and environments to increase the knowledge base with the aim of protecting and conserving species and their habitat. One of our key fields of interest is freshwater crayfish, in which we excel in original research and taxonomy. Numerous scientific publications have been published and many more are currently in preparation. Additionally, as an offshoot of the Australian Crayfish Project, three commercial publication focused on freshwater crayfish are in print.
