ABSTRACT

The Mistake Mountain freshwater crayfish Euastacus jagara is a little known small freshwater crayfish from the Mistake Mountains of Queensland.  Recent biological surveys of Queensland by the Australian Crayfish Project team have uncovered new populations of this species in the western drainage of Queensland.  Its habitat, lifecycle, distribution and conservation status are discussed in this paper.
